Junior Flight Operations Officer

About the role

As a Junior Flight Operations Officer you will work primarily in the office handling overflight and landing permissions, ground handling arrangements, fuel coordination, flight planning, cost estimations and VIP crew and passenger logistics worldwide. The operation runs 24/7 and you will follow a roster‑based schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Process overflight and landing permissions and coordinate aircraft ground handling at FALA.
• Prepare flight plans, fuel requirements and cost estimations for each flight.
• Arrange crew and VIP passenger logistics, including special requests.
• Work weekends, public holidays and night shifts as required by the roster.
• Maintain a hybrid work pattern, splitting time between the office and remote locations.

Required profile

• Reside within a 45 km radius of Lanseria Airport and own a private vehicle.
• South African citizen with a clean criminal record and a valid driver’s licence.
• Willing to work under high‑stress, precision‑driven conditions for a minimum of 24 months.
• Ideal age range 25‑30 and a strong interest in aviation operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Experience using Microsoft Teams.
• Familiarity with WhatsApp for communication.
