About the role
Afrirent Mobility is seeking a Junior Fleet Inspector to join its Operations team in Mpumalanga. The role involves conducting basic vehicle inspections, supporting audit activities and ensuring fleet compliance with operational standards and client requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections using checklists and SOPs, recording results in the relevant system.
- Assist with scheduled and ad‑hoc vehicle audits, verifying condition, damages and compliance items.
- Coordinate inspection scheduling with clients, drivers and internal teams, tracking vehicle availability.
- Escalate any defects, risks or non‑compliance issues to the operations team.
- Maintain accurate fleet documentation, file inspection reports and update audit records.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) or NQF Level 5 qualification in Administration, Fleet or Transport, with a valid driver’s licence.
- 6–12 months experience in fleet administration or coordination.
