Junior Bookkeeper – Sandton

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join a well‑known passenger dealer in Sandton. The role involves handling daily cash, bank transactions and reconciliations for parts and workshop operations within the motor industry.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily bank deposits for parts and workshop cash, ensuring allocation to correct accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements before 10:00 each morning and distribute bank recon reports.
• Manage debtor accounts, following up on outstanding items weekly and ensuring no items older than one month.
• Allocate and receipt cash accounts (CASHP and CASHW) and reconcile parts and accessories accounts.
• Handle sundry invoices, credit applications, EFT payments and Natis documentation.
• Perform petty‑cash collection, monthly reconciliation and support the Financial Manager with accounting queries.
• Assist at reception, greet clients professionally and manage general filing and housekeeping tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience in the motor industry.
• Proven experience with Pinacle accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and inter‑departmental coordination.
