Junior Accountant / Senior Financial Clerk

About the role

Our client, a well‑established South African agricultural company, is looking for a motivated accounting professional to support its finance function. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks for a fast‑growing fresh‑produce operation based in Bapsfontein, Gauteng.

Key responsibilities

• Manage debtor accounts and oversee collection processes.
• Process creditor invoices and handle payment runs.
• Execute bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare general journal entries for wages, salaries, inventory and other accounting items.
• Carry out various account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Provide administrative and accounting support to senior accountants.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with Accounting as a subject.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Pastel Accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.

What we offer

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from R20,000 to R25,000.
