IT Systems Technician – Cape Town & Stellenbosch

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Systems Technician to support their Cape Town and Stellenbosch offices on a rotational basis. This permanent position offers the chance to work in a dynamic professional services environment, handling a wide range of infrastructure and end‑user technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced support for Windows 10/11 desktops and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Hyper‑V and VMware virtualization.
• Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and SMTP services.
• Support collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Exchange Online and Microsoft Defender.
• Manage network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN) and ensure endpoint security and patch compliance.
• Assist with SQL database queries and reporting as needed.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of corporate IT support experience, preferably in a professional services or legal setting.
• Grade 12 qualification; relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.) are a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport for office rotations.
