Investment Risk & Compliance Analyst

About the role

Support the Investment Risk & Compliance function with primary accountability for accurate and timely preparation, consolidation and submission of regulatory reporting, as well as instrument classification and data integrity. A secondary focus is on CISCA investment risk monitoring and supporting governance and second‑line compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, quality‑check and consolidate regulatory reporting submissions for Prescient Manco and client funds, covering ASISA, Regulation 28 and SARB returns.
• Own the reporting calendar, track deadlines, data cut‑offs and dependencies, and escalate early when at risk.
• Assist with instrument classification reviews for complex instruments, structured products and derivatives.
• Perform reconciliations and data‑integrity checks between service‑provider data, internal systems and reported figures, investigating anomalies to resolution.
• Leverage technical systems, including AI, to reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency.
• Draft and maintain procedure notes, submission logs and working papers to ensure repeatable, well‑evidenced processes.

Required profile

• Experience in financial services, preferably within asset management, fund administration or compliance.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics, law or related field; progress towards CFA or FRM is advantageous.
