About the role

Coordinate the union international work.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the union's international work.
• Travel extensively to represent the union abroad.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in International Relations or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in international relations with ability to adapt to a changing political environment.
• Extensive knowledge of the international trade union movement.
• Appreciation of international networking and exchanges to improve local conditions and strengthen workers’ organization.
• Knowledge of the African continent in the context of trade unionism.
• Knowledge of NUMSA sectors (advantageous).
• Appreciation for the principle of worker control.
• Valid driver’s license and ownership of a roadworthy vehicle.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Ability to work unfixed hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
