Internal Sales - Instruments

About the role

This full-time position is responsible for selling temperature instruments and related products and services primarily to existing customers. It is based in Benoni and sits in the manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Research and understand the products and services offered by the business, and keep up to date with competitor offerings and pricing
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities, answer incoming calls and e-mails, and attend to customers' questions
• Quote customers, follow up on important quotations, capture and action customer orders, and procure traded products for those orders
• Liaise with production on order status and delivery dates, monitor expected delivery dates and update customers, and arrange delivery or collection
• Report on sales and profitability per customer and sales targets, and arrange marketing materials within approved budgets

Required profile

• N6 or higher diploma in industrial instrumentation or a related field
• Excellent communication, verbal and written
• Organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Marketing qualifications or experience are beneficial

Required skills

• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
