Insurance Policy Administrator

About the role

A well-established, boutique, family-run financial planning and insurance firm is seeking a highly organised, systematic and detail-oriented Policy Administrator to support its team of Junior and Senior Financial Advisors. This is a permanent, full-time office-based role with some flexibility, working 07:30 to 16:30 with a 1-hour lunch break. You will be the operational core keeping clients' Short-Term and Long-Term Insurance Portfolios up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the full end-to-end policy administration lifecycle, including acceptances, amendments and cancellations.
• Manage day-to-day administration across Personal and Commercial Short-Term Insurance, Health Insurance, GAP Cover, Life Insurance, Investments (Flexible, Retirement, Tax-Free, Endowments) and Wills.
• Act as the main administrative liaison with major insurers, using their backend systems regularly (Santam, Momentum, Discovery and Old Mutual).
• Maintain accurate records, database tracking and client documentation.
• Present policy information clearly to clients when required.

Required profile

• Matric; an RE5 certificate or other industry-specific certification is highly advantageous but optional.
• Preferably at least 2 years of portfolio administration experience, including short-term, long-term, health insurance and investment products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, teamwork and a warm, helpful personality.

• Santam (Policy Centre), Momentum (VIA), Discovery (Advice 360) and Old Mutual Insure (MyOMInsure)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
