Infrastructure Engineer – ICT Operations

About the role

The Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, deploy and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure across multiple data‑centre sites. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will ensure high availability and optimal performance of all systems that support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, analyse, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents affecting users.
• Manage ICT datacenter environments (head‑office, regional offices, tribunal office and disaster‑recovery site).
• Install, configure, upgrade and support server hardware, storage arrays, tape libraries and related equipment.
• Create scalable virtual machines, implement storage solutions, configure virtual networking and manage backup/replication to Microsoft Azure and on‑premises sites.
• Maintain patch levels and firmware across all hardware and software platforms.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, Exchange Server, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and other collaboration tools.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, Azure AD, Azure Stack HCI and monitor both physical and virtual environments.
• Oversee Commvault backup and archiving, perform daily health checks and automate alerts via ITSM and monitoring tools.
• Develop and maintain SOP documentation, remediation plans and coordinate with other IT teams.

Required profile

• Strong applied knowledge of infrastructure hardware, server and storage systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtualization and cloud platforms.
• Ability to work independently, document procedures and collaborate across IT functions.
