Independent Contractor (Lecturing) – Diploma in Sport Management

About the role

The NewBridge Graduate Institute is seeking an independent contractor to deliver lectures for the Applied Movement Development and Adventure & Recreation Management modules within the Diploma in Sport Management programme at its Fourways Campus. The role involves designing and delivering engaging classroom and practical sessions, assessing student work, and providing academic support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, workshops and tutorials for the specified modules.
• Design, update and maintain course content, curriculum and instructional materials.
• Employ diverse teaching methods and digital tools to accommodate varied learning styles.
• Create and administer assessments, grade assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress, keep accurate academic records and offer mentorship.
• Contribute to curriculum development and ensure alignment with accreditation standards.
• Participate in departmental committees, policy development and continuous professional development activities.

Required profile

• Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in Sport Management, Biokinetics, or Sport, Recreation and Exercise Science.
• Prior lecturing experience, both in‑person and online, is advantageous.
