Implementation Programme Manager (Senior)

About the role

A client of Parvana is hiring a senior Implementation Programme Manager based in Johannesburg, working hybrid or remotely. The client provides financial service solutions through an Agile approach, with a team of over 600 employees. The role leads and scales the overall implementation strategy across six core work streams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and scale the overall implementation strategy across six core work streams, keeping them aligned and integrated.
• Identify bottlenecks, risks and dependencies across delivery tracks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Maintain momentum across projects, guiding execution while drawing on leadership support when needed.
• Interface with senior executives, stakeholders and client leadership, and drive senior-level project steering meetings with clear reporting on progress, risks and milestones.
• Act as the primary accountability anchor, ensuring stream leads meet deadlines, budgets and quality standards.
• Apply deep Agile project management practices to foster continuous delivery and adaptive planning.
• Empower and support team leads while holding them accountable for outputs and deliverables.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a Programme Manager, Senior Project Manager or Delivery Manager overseeing multi-stream enterprise implementations.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex portfolios with multiple parallel work streams.
• Experience engaging, negotiating and reporting at executive / C-suite level.
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and processes and run independently.
• Strong leadership character, able to hold teams accountable constructively; energetic, resilient and adaptable.
