About the role
The Human Resources Manager will lead all HR functions for the Waterfront hotel portfolio, including Victoria & Alfred, Queen Victoria and Dock House. Reporting to senior management, you will provide both strategic guidance and day‑to‑day operational support to ensure a high‑performing workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee HR, payroll administration, industrial relations, recruitment & selection, and training & development across all hotel properties.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local labour legislation and head‑office requirements.
- Maintain accurate HR and payroll records and manage employee relations matters.
- Drive recruitment initiatives to attract and retain talent.
- Support employee development programmes and ensure effective administration of all HR processes.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing comprehensive HR functions in a hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
- Ability to provide strategic HR advice while handling operational tasks.
- Excellent record‑keeping and organisational skills.
