Human Resources Manager – Cape Town

About the role

As a member of the property Human Resources support team, you will work with HR colleagues to manage daily HR office activities, including recruitment, total compensation, training and development, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the recruitment and hiring process: interview, hire, and onboard HR team members, maintain relationships with external recruitment sources, attend job fairs, and network with local organisations.
• Oversee candidate identification and selection, provide expertise to property managers on selection procedures, and partner with vendors to advertise open positions.
• Administer employee benefits and unemployment services: respond to claims, audit provider reports, prepare activity reports, and represent the property at hearings.
• Support employee development: run orientation programs, ensure cross‑training, supervise ongoing training initiatives, and use on‑the‑job training tools.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field, OR a two‑year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with HR staff and property managers.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, recruitment practices, and compliance requirements.
