Human Resources Generalist – Performance & Compliance

About the role

We are a dynamic financial services company seeking a strategic Human Resources Generalist to own the full employee lifecycle, drive compliance and elevate performance across the organisation. The role offers high autonomy and accountability, reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the performance management framework, appraisal cycles and Performance Improvement Plans.
• Act as Skills Development Facilitator, compile and submit the Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report, and manage learnership programmes to optimise B‑BBEE points.
• Lead Employment Equity initiatives, prepare statutory reports and advise management on transformation targets.
• Own end‑to‑end recruitment for high‑volume and specialist roles, including job profiling, talent sourcing and timely placement.
• Manage employee relations, grievance handling and disciplinary processes ensuring compliance with BCEA, EEA and LRA.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and provide accurate payroll inputs, including commissions and incentives.

Required profile

• Resilient and proactive HR professional with strong labour‑law knowledge.
• Commercially minded with ability to influence senior managers.
• High degree of autonomy, accountability and attention to detail.
• Experience in performance management, recruitment and statutory compliance within a fast‑paced environment.
