Human Resources Director

About the role

The Human Resources Director will join the executive committee of One&Only Cape Town and report directly to the General Manager, with a functional line to the EVP Global Human Resources. The role is responsible for shaping and executing the HR strategy that supports the resort’s luxury hospitality brand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall Human Resources strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Lead engagement‑survey activities and act on results to improve employee experience.
• Drive talent acquisition, succession planning and workforce reviews for the property.
• Oversee performance management, learning and development programmes.
• Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives in line with regional goals.
• Monitor and optimise the use of the HR workflow system across managers and staff.
• Provide coaching and development for senior leaders and contribute to the property’s business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably in luxury hospitality or comparable high‑service environments.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into HR actions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of working independently.
• Track record of managing talent pipelines, succession planning and employee engagement programmes.
