Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a well‑established importer and distributor in Cape Town. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own core HR processes and support industrial relations, contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all HR administration, including employee records, contracts, payroll coordination, and leave management.
• Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, and off‑boarding processes.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour laws, company policies, and CCMA procedures.
• Handle industrial relations matters in collaboration with an external consultant, covering grievances, disciplinary actions, and CCMA cases.
• Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR documentation while safeguarding data confidentiality.
• Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a comparable HR role.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or Labour Relations.
• Strong expertise in South African labour law, dispute resolution, disciplinary procedures, and CCMA processes.
• Proven ability to work independently and handle confidential matters professionally.
