Human Resource Officer – Full‑Time (Durbanville)

About the role

Our client is looking for a proactive Human Resource Officer to deliver HR services and support the implementation of the HR strategy. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Human Resources, the role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, compliance and general administration.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and selection, including interview scheduling and candidate communication.
• Facilitate onboarding and induction programmes for new hires and maintain recruitment records.
• Identify training needs, organise learning initiatives and keep training records up to date.
• Assist managers with performance review cycles, documentation and performance‑related policies.
• Handle employee relations matters such as grievances, disciplinary processes and labour‑union interactions, and support CCMA preparations.
• Promote employee wellness programmes and ensure compliance with health, safety and employment legislation.
• Maintain accurate employee files, support payroll‑related administration and produce HR reports.

Required profile

• Strong service orientation with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with employees and management.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple HR processes simultaneously.
