About the role
The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government is seeking a Human Resource Development Practitioner to support youth development initiatives in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating programmes, managing bursaries and overseeing the Recognition of Improved Qualifications (RIQs) process.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate and coordinate youth development programmes aligned with government objectives.
- Administer bursary schemes, including application processing and fund allocation.
- Manage the Recognition of Improved Qualifications (RIQs) process, ensuring compliance and accurate record‑keeping.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote programme participation.
- Monitor programme performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Required profile
- Suitable qualifications and demonstrated competence in human resource development or related fields.
- Experience working with youth development initiatives, bursary administration or qualification recognition processes is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and communication abilities.
