HR Practitioner

About the role

Fruitways is seeking a self‑motivated HR Practitioner to join its Graymead farm in the Villiersdorp region. The role acts as a professional business partner, delivering efficient HR services that align with the Fruitways Group strategy and the operational needs of the farm.

Key responsibilities

• Consult and partner with managers and employees to drive people‑management strategies.
• Manage industrial relations, disciplinary, incapacity and grievance processes within a unionised environment.
• Represent the business at the CCMA, up to arbitration.
• Lead recruitment, selection and onboarding for all staff.
• Collaborate with the L&D team to deliver training and development initiatives.
• Drive HR project work and ensure effective implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Maintain HR systems to guarantee legislative compliance and support audit processes.
• Perform HR data analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Human Resources degree or related qualification.
• 3‑5 years of HR experience in a unionised, operational setting (agricultural experience advantageous).
• Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, OHSA, WSP, ATR reporting and BBBEE.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and confidentiality skills.
• Detail‑oriented, computer literate.
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence for travel between operational units.
