About the role
The HR Practitioner will support the HR function of a well‑established financial services organisation in Pretoria. Reporting to the HR Manager, the role focuses on delivering end‑to‑end HR processes, ensuring compliance, and enhancing employee experience across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment and selection, including job description drafting, grading, benchmarking, interview support, and managing internal transfers and promotions.
- Support onboarding and termination processes.
- Help ensure legislative compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Facilitate skills development activities, including WSP, ATR and liaison with SETAs.
- Assist in employee development tasks such as probation management, individual development plans, knowledge‑hub sessions and succession planning.
- Provide first‑level employee‑relations support, including disciplinary and performance‑management actions.
- Coordinate the performance‑management system, align KPAs/KPIs with job descriptions, and produce performance reports.
- Contribute to payroll inputs, compile HR reports, maintain HR administrative systems, update leave records and ensure adherence to HR policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum five years of post‑qualification experience in a similar HR role.
- Strong communication and decision‑making abilities.
