HR Officer – Hospitality

About the role

As an HR Officer at Mount Nelson, you will support a dynamic team that ensures both employees and guests enjoy memorable experiences. The role blends HR strategy, recruitment, and learning & development within a luxury hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
• Manage performance, employee relations, and engagement through conflict resolution, open communication, and team‑building initiatives.
• Oversee uniform ordering, issuance, and stock records.
• Administer HR tasks such as birthday cards, long‑service letters, filing, and notice‑board updates.
• Produce monthly Health & Safety reports and investigate staff transport queries.
• Handle daily HR queries, log injury‑on‑duty claims, and process them correctly.
• Develop and implement employee welfare initiatives.
• Support investigations and industrial‑relations processes for housekeeping and other departments as directed.

Required profile

• Good understanding of HR functions and best practices.
• Knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and payroll processes.
• Experience with onboarding, recruitment, and employee benefits.
