HR Manager

About the role

Our client, a multinational organisation, is seeking an HR Manager to join their team in Umhlanga Rocks. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the global HR leadership team, you will shape and drive the people agenda across the South African business.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR business partner to leaders, managers and employees.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle – onboarding, administration, payroll coordination, leave management and record keeping.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development and organisational effectiveness.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning and talent management initiatives.
• Coordinate employee benefits administration, including medical aid and retirement fund processes.
• Advise on remuneration, promotions, benefits and HR policies in line with South African labour legislation.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes, including Workday.
• Champion a high‑performance culture and support organisational change projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field.
• Several years of experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner role.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience managing employee relations, performance management and organisational development.
• Exposure to organisational change management.
• Fluent English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
