HR Generalist – Employee Lifecycle & Administration

About the role

We are looking for an HR Generalist to manage the full employee lifecycle for our Cape Town site. You will act as the primary point of contact for HR queries, ensure accurate administration of contracts, payroll inputs and employee data, and support managers and staff in day‑to‑day HR matters.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all administrative tasks related to hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
• Serve as the first point of contact for standard HR issues, communicating policies, benefits and employer branding to employees and managers.
• Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts and personnel announcements, and maintain HR templates.
• Provide HR input for payroll, maintain employee data in Workday and local payroll systems, and generate reports for decision‑making.
• Manage time, attendance and leave processes, ensuring timely submission and authorization of timesheets and leave applications.

Required profile

• Diploma, Bachelor or equivalent in Business Administration, HR or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional HR experience.
• Advanced knowledge of South African labour law and bargaining council regulations.
• Experience in administering HR processes such as recruiting, onboarding and termination.
• Basic understanding of payroll concepts.
