Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Babylonstoren is looking for an energetic, organised, and detail‑oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the daily operations of its Housekeeping Department and uphold the high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation the estate is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support housekeeping staff in their daily duties and manage work schedules, staff allocations and daily tasks.
• Ensure exceptional cleanliness, hygiene and presentation in guest rooms, public areas and surrounding gardens, and conduct regular inspections.
• Identify, report and follow up on maintenance requirements and monitor housekeeping supplies, linen and equipment.
• Handle guest requests professionally to ensure an outstanding guest experience and maintain accurate records and administrative functions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification; a hospitality management qualification is advantageous.
• 2–5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities, with attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
