Housekeeping Administrator – Cruise Line

About the role

The Housekeeping Administrator supports the cruise line’s housekeeping department by handling administrative tasks, coordinating with other ship services, and ensuring that guest and crew accommodations meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. The role requires strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work closely with multiple ship departments to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain department records such as cleaning schedules, inspection reports, inventory logs, and maintenance requests.
• Monitor stock levels of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
• Act as liaison between housekeeping and guest services, maintenance, and laundry departments.
• Log and manage lost‑and‑found items with secure storage and proper documentation.
• Ensure cleaning checklists and standards are followed and generate operational reports for management.
• Assist in tracking guest feedback related to housekeeping and ensure compliance with maritime health, hygiene, and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• South African passport.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hospitality or cruise line housekeeping operations.
