Home Coordinator for Military Veterans (3‑year contract)

About the role

The Department of Military Veterans at ARMSCOR is seeking a Home Coordinator to facilitate the integration of military veterans into economic activities, as mandated by government policy. This is a three‑year contract position focused on stakeholder coordination and programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate all departments in implementing plans that open opportunities for military veterans.
• Develop and execute implementation, communication, and stakeholder plans with relevant departments and external partners.
• Identify veteran‑owned companies ready for incubation and advise Armscor on risk mitigation.
• Provide briefings and progress updates to the Executive Committee (EXCO) and produce regular performance reports.
• Maintain transparent communication channels, manage queries, and keep an up‑to‑date database of veterans and dependents.
• Support veteran participation in Armscor tender processes and ensure fair, transparent procedures.

Required profile

• Business‑related qualification or equivalent.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Computer literate with a good understanding of military veterans legislation and regulations.
• Detailed knowledge of veterans’ affairs and associations, with a genuine interest in their welfare.
• Understanding of business principles and risk management.
• Experience dealing with high‑level stakeholders and conducting business activities (advantageous).
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
