About the role
National Renal Care (NRC) is South Africa’s leading kidney and disease management organisation. We are looking for a Healthcare Worker to support our dialysis unit at the Mayfair facility in Johannesburg.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and clean dialysis machines before each patient session, following NRC policies and standards.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of the unit generator, log technical issues and refuel with diesel as required.
- Manage stock and waste in line with financial policies and procedures.
- Order and serve meals according to patients’ dietary requirements and NRC guidelines.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to infection control and occupational health and safety standards.
- Test dialysis machine alarms before each session to ensure proper operation.
- Continuously update knowledge of the Healthcare Worker role and demonstrate NRC values.
