Head of OTC Trading

About the role

Luno, a global cryptocurrency platform, is looking for a Head of OTC Trading to lead and grow its over‑the‑counter trading desk. This senior position requires deep knowledge of digital asset markets and the ability to shape trading strategy in line with the company’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute trading strategies for a range of digital assets in the OTC market.
• Manage relationships with institutional clients and liquidity providers, building strong partnerships.
• Monitor market trends, identify opportunities and optimise profitability.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal OTC policies.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and technology teams to maintain seamless operations.
• Analyse trading performance and report regularly to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a trading role with a focus on OTC markets.
• Deep understanding of cryptocurrency products, market dynamics and trading technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Solid grasp of risk management principles and relevant regulatory frameworks.
