Head of Finance – Remote (Full‑stack Finance Leader)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Head of Finance to lead our financial function on a fully remote basis. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the month‑end close, drive profitability, and turn financial data into strategic growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and streamline the monthly close process to deliver accurate financial statements on time.
• Manage one direct report (Bookkeeper) and oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, and payroll.
• Migrate and maintain reporting data from Salesforce, ensuring historical accuracy as the company scales.
• Control spend via Ramp, enforce policy compliance, and identify cost‑saving trends.
• Analyze P&L for efficiency gains, challenge assumptions, and recommend pricing adjustments.
• Partner with the CEO to build robust financial models in Google Sheets for budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Proven leader comfortable managing a Bookkeeper while diving into detailed spreadsheets.
• Strong research mindset: investigate high‑line items and propose multiple remediation options.
• Focus on ROI – view finance as a profit driver rather than a cost center.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling.
• Expert‑level Google Sheets (complex formulas, data visualization, dynamic reporting).
• Experience with Salesforce reporting and data extraction.
