HDS and EV Manager

About the role

The HDS and EV Manager provides strategic leadership for Old Mutual Foundation’s Employee Voluntary Programme and Humanitarian Disaster Support Programme. The role designs and implements initiatives that boost employee participation in community projects while coordinating disaster relief efforts across the Old Mutual Group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase employee volunteer participation.
• Align volunteer initiatives with the Foundation’s social investment priorities.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on programme impact, recommending improvements.
• Plan and coordinate staff volunteer activities, events and disaster relief operations.
• Manage budgets and resources for both volunteer programmes and disaster support.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maximise brand exposure and ensure smooth delivery.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate social responsibility, community upliftment or volunteer programme management.
• Strong communication, presentation, numerical and analytical abilities.
• Proven capability to engage and motivate employees at all organisational levels.
• High integrity, maturity and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
