Guest House & Functions Manager – Bryanston

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Guest House & Functions Manager to lead operations at a prestigious guest house in Bryanston. The role combines guest‑house management with event coordination, ensuring high service standards and profitable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day guest house operations and maintain exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Plan, coordinate and execute conferences, meetings, weddings and other functions.
• Manage reservations, occupancy levels and guest communications.
• Recruit, train, schedule and evaluate staff.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, control operational expenditure and manage inventory.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and corporate partners.
• Drive sales, occupancy and function bookings.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hospitality regulations.
• Produce operational and management reports and coordinate maintenance requirements.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hospitality management experience, preferably in a guest house or boutique hotel.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, stock and inventory.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a track record of exceeding guest expectations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
