Group Senior Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Group Senior Supply Chain Manager will report to the Group Chief Financial Officer and will lead the development and execution of the supply chain strategy for the GGDA group of companies. This 5‑year fixed‑term role involves overseeing policy creation, procurement, tendering and contract management to ensure efficiency, compliance and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the formulation and implementation of the group’s supply chain strategy and policy.
• Develop and roll out supply chain policies, ensuring alignment with Treasury regulations, the Constitution, PMFA and the Supply Chain Manual.
• Manage the procurement team, including hiring, training and performance monitoring.
• Oversee the full tendering process, from committee appointments to award approvals, in line with policy and delegation of authority.
• Administer contracts, monitor deliverables, maintain the contract register and ensure compliance with BBBEE and National Treasury regulations.
• Lead the annual budgeting process for procurement, monitor financial performance and provide regular forecasts.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree or NQF Level 8 qualification in Supply Chain, Accounting or Finance.
• At least 10 years of experience in supply chain and/or finance, with 5 years in a senior financial management role.
• In‑depth knowledge of state procurement policies, public‑sector SCM practices and relevant legislation.
• Strong analytical ability and proven negotiation skills.
