About the role

eDataBae is seeking native English speakers in South Africa to take part in an offline group conversation recording project. Selected participants will capture natural, unscripted English dialogues with friends, family members, or colleagues using an iPhone.

Key responsibilities

Gather a small group (2‑4 people) and record a natural conversation on everyday topics.
Use the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 12 or newer to capture clear audio.
Follow provided recording guidelines, including quiet environment and active participation from all speakers.
Complete consent and eligibility forms after shortlisting.

Required profile

Native English speaker residing in South Africa.
Able to join the recording with 1‑3 additional participants.
Comfortable engaging in informal English conversation.
Own an iPhone 12 or newer and can operate the Voice Memos app.
