Griller – Portuguese Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Griller to join the kitchen team of an established Portuguese restaurant known for bold, authentic flavours. The role is hands‑on, centred on the grill station, and requires delivering consistent, high‑quality flame‑grilled dishes throughout service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage the grill station during service.
• Prepare and cook meat, chicken, and seafood to order, ensuring consistent results.
• Maintain quality and presentation standards for all grilled dishes.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to minimise waste and errors.
• Keep the grill station clean and organised at all times.
• Follow food safety and hygiene practices.
• Assist with prep work and mise en place before service.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen colleagues to ensure smooth flow during peak periods.

Required profile

• Previous experience working on a grill station in a restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with Portuguese or flame‑grilled cuisine is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent work ethic.
• Reliable, punctual, and a good team player.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Own transport or reliable means of getting to work.
