About the role

We are seeking ambitious graduates to join a high‑performing secondary school in Lewisham as Graduate Unqualified Teachers. This full‑time position starts in September and provides a structured introduction to classroom teaching across KS3 and KS4 while you prepare for formal teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons in your subject specialism to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Support pupils’ academic progress and deepen subject understanding.
• Lead small‑group interventions and targeted support sessions.
• Develop classroom management and communication skills.
• Assist with lesson preparation, marking, and assessment tasks.
• Gain exposure to curriculum planning and broader school activities.

Required profile

• Graduating this year with a 2:1 degree or higher in Art, Economics, Computer Science, English, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Maths or a related subject.
• Ready to start a full‑time role in September.
• Genuine commitment to a teaching career.
• Strong academic ability and excellent communication skills.
• Professional, reflective and eager to learn.
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
