Graduate Civil Engineer

About the role

Our client is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their project delivery team, focusing on water infrastructure projects. This role offers a blend of office‑based engineering work and hands‑on site activities, providing a solid foundation for future professional registration with ECSA.

Key responsibilities

• Support project implementation through site inspections, material verification and quality assurance.
• Monitor progress, ensure compliance with engineering standards and client specifications.
• Prepare technical inspection reports, site notes and corrective‑action recommendations.
• Analyse water consumption, flow and pressure data to identify performance issues and savings opportunities.
• Develop spreadsheets, calculations and models for engineering and financial decision‑making.
• Assist with progress and completion reports, tender technical sections, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities and basic designs.
• Research potential project opportunities and contribute to presentations and business cases.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Registered or intending to register as an ECSA Candidate Engineer/Technologist.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Data‑analysis capabilities.
