Generalist Recruitment Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Generalist Recruitment Specialist based in Pretoria East. The role will manage the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, strategic sourcing, candidate attraction, interviewing, selection, offer management and onboarding with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment process from vacancy briefing through to successful placement.
• Source, screen, interview and shortlist quality candidates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates.
• Coordinate interviews and manage the offer process.
• Conduct competency‑based interviews and candidate assessments.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and ATS databases.
• Ensure compliance with labour legislation and POPIA requirements.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and grow existing client accounts.
• Meet placement, revenue and client‑satisfaction targets.
• Provide market intelligence, salary benchmarking and recruitment advice to clients.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 with a qualification in Human Resource Management.
• 5‑10 years of full‑cycle recruitment experience across permanent and temporary positions.
• Hands‑on experience managing recruitment from sourcing to onboarding.
• Experience with recruitment systems, ATS, job boards, LinkedIn, Pnet, Placement Partner or similar platforms.
• Excellent interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
