About the role
BKB Ltd in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth is hiring a General Worker for its Wool & Mohair division, aimed at entry-level candidates. The role supports shipping department functions, helps maintain production levels and reports discrepancies. Applicants need a Grade 10-12 education, 1-2 years of experience in a wool warehouse, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Breekspan in handling and relocating bales
- Work with Cross Hauling, offloading outside bales from trucks
- Pull bales from the stacking area and replace unused bales back into it
- Perform general housekeeping and keep the workplace safe and orderly
- Carry out other ad hoc tasks requested by the supervisor or management in the plant
Required profile
- Grade 10-12 education
- 1-2 years' experience in a wool warehouse
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and willingness to work overtime and shifts
