General Manager – Upscale Café Restaurant (Bedfordview)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead an upscale café‑style restaurant in Bedfordview. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the operation, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire restaurant operation, including front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities.
• Oversee cash reconciliation, stock management, and daily opening and closing procedures.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain financial controls, budgeting, and reporting in line with restaurant administration standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of restaurant management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or General Manager role.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Consistent work history and excellent references.
• Energetic, passionate, and able to perform well under pressure.
