General Counsel – Remote Contract Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our team on a contract basis, working remotely. The role focuses on creating and refining contract negotiation playbooks, drafting commercial agreements, and supporting AI‑training initiatives with high‑quality legal documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, and improve contract negotiation playbooks tailored to diverse real‑world scenarios.
• Draft, analyze, and annotate commercial agreements, ensuring clarity, precision, and compliance.
• Provide expert commentary on best practices for contract management and negotiation strategies.
• Curate and supply non‑confidential transaction materials to support project documentation objectives.
• Evaluate and optimize existing contract templates for efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with the micro1 team to align materials with project guidelines and AI‑training needs.
• Deliver high‑quality written and verbal feedback to enhance system understanding and output.

Required profile

• Current or prior experience as a General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with a focus on contract negotiation playbooks.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management within corporate environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of industry‑standard practices for contract review and risk assessment.
• Experience developing or using contract negotiation playbooks for companies.
• Familiarity with document‑driven project assignments, including sourcing and submitting eligible materials.
• Ability to work independently and provide concise, actionable insights for AI training purposes.
