Full Stack Software Engineer II

About the role

Capitec is seeking an energetic Full Stack Software Engineer II to join its cross‑functional team delivering end‑to‑end banking applications. The role covers the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and operation, ensuring high‑quality client experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance both front‑end and back‑end components of web applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts and delivery teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure applications are performant, reliable, scalable and meet banking standards.
• Develop and support APIs and payment services using modern backend frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in full‑stack software development.
• Strong understanding of database structures, data management and SQL querying.
• Ability to work with event‑driven architectures and messaging platforms.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
