Full Stack Engineer (Hybrid, Johannesburg)

About the role

Kena Outdoor is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join its dynamic team in Johannesburg. The role is full‑time and hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while building high‑impact web applications for the company’s billboard media platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable front‑end and back‑end components.
• Write optimized, clean code and implement responsive user‑interface elements.
• Integrate third‑party and internal APIs to enhance functionality.
• Collaborate with product, design and operations teams to deliver performant and secure solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑stack web development and building scalable applications.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and within cross‑functional teams.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is acceptable.

Required skills

• Front‑end: HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Back‑end: Python, Java, PHP or Node.js for server‑side logic and API creation.
• Database: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB).
• DevOps basics: cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and version control with Git.
