Front Desk Coordinator – Urology

About the role

The Front Desk Coordinator will be the first point of contact for patients at our urology practice, handling both phone and in‑person interactions with professionalism and empathy. This role ensures accurate scheduling, patient check‑in, and smooth communication between patients, providers, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls within three‑four rings and greet patients warmly.
• Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments using the EMR system while adhering to clinic guidelines.
• Enter and update patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Maintain up‑to‑date scheduling systems for reliable reporting and staffing analysis.
• Communicate patient concerns and issues to providers, office manager, and other staff as needed.
• Handle fax requests for medical records and other information from external offices.
• Perform additional clerical duties assigned by the office manager/administrator.
• Travel between multiple practice locations as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (required); associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two to three years of experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume medical office.
• Self‑starter able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.
