About the role
PWC Africa Assurance Multi‑Territory Delivery Centre is seeking a Financial Statements Specialist to support audit teams. The role focuses on reviewing financial statements for compliance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs disclosure requirements. This is a remote position open to candidates across South Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Perform financial statement disclosure checklists using IFRS and IFRS for SMEs frameworks.
- Support audit teams by reviewing statements of large or listed companies.
- Ensure independence by declaring any financial interests that could affect client work.
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet tight deadlines.
Required profile
- Completed SAICA CA(SA) articles or equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification.
- Post‑article experience is advantageous.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent English with good verbal and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office.
