Financial Manager – Tax Reporting & Financial Management

About the role

The Financial Manager will lead tax‑related reporting and financial administration for individual and trust clients, while also overseeing broader financial management within an asset‑management business. This role blends technical tax expertise with financial control, client service and process oversight to ensure accurate, timely delivery of financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Verify completeness and accuracy of downloaded tax reports (IT3(b), IT3(c), IT3(s), capital gains schedules, dividend and interest certificates) for each client.
• Prepare tax calculations, file tax returns for clients and the firm, and compile asset‑liability schedules for tax and financial intermediary purposes.
• Consolidate tax reports for complex client structures, including multiple accounts, trusts and multi‑entity portfolios.
• Obtain and process personal income tax documentation from clients, and deliver finalised reports to clients or their tax practitioners within agreed timelines.
• Liaise with trustees, beneficiaries, tax practitioners and third‑party administrators to resolve data discrepancies.
• Process fee and commission tasks, ensuring accurate payment and record‑keeping, and issue monthly statements to third parties where required.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end financial close, prepare management accounts, reconciliations, variance analysis and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., IFRS for SMEs).
• Review trial balances and general ledgers regularly, identifying and correcting discrepancies before reporting or audit deadlines.
