Financial Manager

About the role

Our client, a well‑established logistics company in Cape Town, is seeking a Financial Manager to lead the finance function of a dynamic division. You will act as a trusted business partner, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and profitable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clean external and internal audits and complete the audit plan on schedule.
• Maintain strong internal controls and produce accurate monthly financial reports.
• Prepare reliable forecasts, manage divisional profitability and meet EBIT targets.
• Oversee working capital, cash flow, DSO/DPO, interest cost and WIP to sustain liquidity.
• Lead and develop the finance team while raising financial literacy across the division.
• Drive process improvements and steer strategic finance projects to completion.
• Liaise with SARS, CIPC, external auditors, banks, STATSSA, guarantors, suppliers and customers.
• Build the FY budget, explain monthly variances and monitor KPI scorecards.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting, Financial Management or equivalent.
• CIMA or SAIPA professional designation (non‑negotiable).
• 3‑5 years post‑article experience in a similar finance role.
