Financial Manager

About the role

Our client in Elsies River, Cape Town is seeking a hands‑on, commercially‑minded Financial Manager to provide accurate, timely and commercially meaningful financial information for a manufacturing business. You will partner closely with the Managing Director and operational leaders to translate financial data into actionable business insight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance‑sheet and income‑statement reviews, cash‑flow forecasts and budgets.
• Develop and maintain standard costing, product costing, margin analysis and profitability reporting.
• Oversee inventory valuation, stock ageing, obsolescence analysis and inventory forecasting.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards, convert Excel reports to BI solutions and analyse large data sets.
• Manage ERP (preferably Syspro) and advanced Excel reporting processes, ensuring robust financial controls and reconciliations.

Required profile

• Experienced Management Accountant, Senior Financial Accountant, Cost Accountant or Finance Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to explain financial results to non‑financial managers.
• Proven track record of variance analysis, risk identification and opportunity assessment.
