Financial Manager – Hospital Division

About the role

The Financial Manager will provide specialised financial management, technical accounting and reporting support to Netcare's Hospitals Division. Reporting to the Divisional Financial Manager and Financial Director, the role ensures accurate budgeting, forecasting and compliance with IFRS and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and input data for divisional budgets and forecasts, including rental income/expense and utility costs.
• Perform lease accounting, balance‑sheet analysis and inter‑group accounting.
• Review statutory payments, financial disclosures and other technical accounting matters.
• Analyse actual performance versus budgets, investigate variances and provide commentary for decision‑making.
• Collaborate with hospital finance teams, Group Finance and Shared Services to maintain effective financial controls.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in finance, accounting or related field.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and lease accounting within a large organisation.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and South African financial legislation.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with multiple finance stakeholders.
