Financial Manager - CA(SA)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with a strong focus on foreign exchange to lead our FX management function. The role involves overseeing hedge accounting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting commercial teams with accurate costing rates to drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor foreign currency exposure and execute forward cover strategies to minimise exchange‑rate risk.
• Settle Letters of Credit and foreign exchange contracts in line with company policy.
• Prepare monthly and ad‑hoc reports on forward cover positions and hedge accounting.
• Forecast FX impact on income statements and cash‑flow, and manage foreign currency budgets.
• Identify process improvements, automate FX workflows and optimise local‑currency invoicing.
• Produce accurate financial and management reports, perform monthly reconciliations, and support audit processes.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven expertise in foreign exchange management, hedge accounting and currency risk.
• Experience in financial reporting within retail, FMCG, trading, manufacturing or distribution environments.
